Tony Anderson, CEO of Cherryland Electric Co-op (Grawn), sat down with other local utility leaders in early August to do a Podcast discussion on renewable energy.
“It is a wide-ranging discussion that is simply that – a discussion,” Anderson says about the event’s purpose. “We recognize that it is all from the utility perspective and there are other sides to all these issues. In the future, we hope to bring in other viewpoints.” The group wants consumers to understand the utility perspective in a new light, and to invite public discussion on renewable energy.
Moderated by Doug Luciani, CEO of the Traverse City Chamber, others joining in the conversation were Doug DeYoung, public affairs area manager for Consumers Energy, Steven Rawlings, regional Manager for DTE Energy, and Tim Arends, executive director of Traverse City Light & Power.
