Great Lakes Energy (GLE) Cooperative employees, along with the help of CoBank, a cooperative lender, recently contributed $21,119 to local United Way agencies throughout the GLE service area. GLE employees participate annually in a United Way campaign by pledging money from their paychecks throughout the year. While shopping online, HomeWorks members, or anyone interested in contributing, can now help benefit area families and organizations by using a special link to reach their Amazon.com account. By doing so, .5 percent of a contributor’s purchase will be donated by Amazon to the co-op’s People Fund.
